Wake County, North Carolina, is experiencing explosive growth — adding over 25% to its population in the last decade and racing toward 1.5 million residents. As one of the nation’s most dynamic regions, the county needed a cultural plan that could match its momentum. CPG and DRMTM partnered with Wake County and United Arts Wake County to develop Cultivating Creativity, a comprehensive roadmap that ensures cultural vitality keeps pace with unprecedented expansion. Through extensive engagement across all twelve municipalities — from Raleigh’s urban core to Zebulon’s rural traditions — our team crafted a plan that brings arts and culture to every corner of this diverse county. The result is a strategic framework that positions a $1.5 billion creative economy into a nationally recognized destination where creativity is carefully and intentionally cultivated, yet feels as natural as breathing the mountain air.
