The Story
The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation has long championed the state’s historical and cultural assets from pre-history to modern day. A leader in place-making, culture-keeping, and advocacy for protective state legislation, the Trust was ready to elevate its presence and importance with a brand refresh that could re-set the pace for its action-oriented mission—inspiring Floridians to embrace and protect the irreplaceable heritage that defines their home.
The Challenge
The value of historic preservation is often unfamiliar or misunderstood outside of the professional field, yet requires investment of support and funding to achieve its transformative purpose in elevating communities and growing cultural awareness and economy. The Trust needed deeper-level engagement with stakeholders to retain existing support, while appealing to and growing new members, advocates, and funders who could champion preservation as essential to Florida’s future.

Through or work together, the Trust arrived at their next phase of evolution with their distinct position amplified loud and clear. Embracing the tagline “Storied Past. Vibrant Future,” the new brand comes alive with sun-saturated colors complementing traditional hues, visual textures of Florida’s built and ecological environments evoking the mood, and vivid messages connecting the state’s residents and visitors to the inherently magical charm that is old and new Florida life. The Florida Trust brand now stands as an invitation to belong to Florida’s storied past and actively support its vibrant future—making historic preservation accessible, urgent, and essential to everyone who calls Florida home.
